FAQs
I can't book!
If you are having general problems using the site please contact us for assistance.
Is my child safe?
Our camp is led by staff that work in our school. They all have received First Aid and Safeguarding Training (DSL). All staff over 16 are DBS checked and trained in safeguarding, basic first aid, fire and are fully inducted in to the running of the camp. Many of our younger staff are camp alumni, so are fully aware of how the camp works!
Our site is as secure as it would be if we were in school, we have locked gates during the day and any visitors are accompanied by the site team.
Can my child do half days?
Unfortunately we don't offer half days or regular early collection as this can disrupt the other children.
Do you offer extended care?
Yes we offer a breakfast club from 8 – 9 and chill zone out from 4 – 5:30pm for an extra charge. This is only available if it has been pre-booked. There is no late club on a Friday.
Mini Zone do not offer a late club.
Do you accept childcare vouchers and TFC?
Yes, please see our payment section for details.
My child is joining Reception in September - which group should they join?
Children rising into Reception in September should be booked into the Mini Zone. They will be grouped with children of the same age.
Can I spread the cost of my booking?
Yes you can spread out your payment over the period until your booking is due. You will need to pay a deposit at the time of booking.
Can I pay part with childcare vouchers and part credit card?
Yes you can do this on our booking system.
What happens if I am late?
If you are late for normal pick up, you should call us and leave a message if we don't pick up. We will care for your child in the late club (excluding Fridays) and charge you the regular fee. If you are late collecting from late club, you must have an emergency person to collect. Late collection from late club is charged at £8 every 15 minutes to cover the staff overtime. Regular late collections may lead to us withdrawing this service for you.
Can my children be together?
All children are grouped by age. We find that children enjoy themselves more in their correct age groups, but if you would like your children to be together, the older child would have to join the younger group if applicable.
This is not applicable to Mini-Zone.
If your children has friends attending, please let us know a few days in advance so we can group them together in the register.
My child has an EHCP - can you help?
Please call us to discuss your child's needs.
My child doesn't attend Banstead Prep School
Don't worry! We have lots of children from other schools, we group children in similar ages and make sure they do activities that get them all mixing.
Many of our children are now friends outside of The Zone!
Do you provide lunch?
You will need send your child to The Zone with a nut free packed lunch. Please ensure you check that no items contain nuts or traces of nuts, including peanut butter, nutella and cereal bars.
Do you take 2 year olds?
We have places for children age 3 and over.
Can my child have a nap?
Unfortuantely due to staff ratios, we are unable to take children out of the play space for naps. We do have quiet periods of the day and quiet areas where children can rest.
What if my child is ill?
We cannot unfortunately offer a refund if your child is ill, as our staffing is planned according to numbers expected. We may be able to move your booking to another day within the same camp if there is a space for that day.
What happens if I wish to cancel my booking?
We have to plan our staff well in advance of our camps to ensure we meet the correct ratios. There are charges if you cancel within five weeks of the start of the camp, when the cancellation fee will start to incur percentage charges.
Please refer to our booking terms and conditons at the bottom of the page.
All bookings paid by credit or debit card incur a £9 card fee whether or not the booking is within the cancelation time frame.
Can I change my booking
If you wish to change your booking we will endeavour to change your date to another within the same camp season, if space is available. It may not be possible to accommodate such requests, please refer to our Booking Terms and Conditions for further information.
